The outbreak of the COVID-19 virus means that the events we usually run to raise the funds that support our community development work in Kenya have to stop. 

Can you imagine what it is like for the communities that we work with now when the most important means of preventing transmission is to keep washing our hands?

Tax relief benefits

Under the tax relief for Designated Charities scheme Brighter Communities Worldwide can obtain a refund on the tax paid by individuals who are taxed under the PAYE tax system. Regardless of the rate of tax the individual pays, Brighter Communities Worldwide will receive 31% tax relief on all donations over €250 in any tax year.

This means the value of your donation will be increased, for example if you donate at least €250 (minimum qualifying amount) in the tax year Brighter Communities Worldwide is entitled to a repayment of €112.32 making your total donation €362.32
