Harambee 2012 October

Could this be you? Arriving at Joma Kenyatta airport in Nairobi for the October Harambee? It's not too late!

The October Harambee team enjoyed their first training in preparation for travelling to Kenya at the end of October. They have begun to fundraise with bag packing, coffee mornings, table quizzes and much more.

There are still places available on the October Harambee, which leaves Ireland on October 27th, with options of staying for 2 or 3 weeks. If you are interested, please contact the FOL office immediately on harambee2012@friendsoflondiani.com. See our website for further details.

Harambee Photobook

Have you sent your photo in yet?

Harambee Photobook 2002 – 2012

Eva & Eoin are working on gathering photographs from all previous FOL volunteers to produce a professionally printed coffee-table book of favourite Harambee photos for the Christmas market this year. It will be available in October with a free CD of Kenyan music. By now all volunteers will have received a message requesting their favourite photo to be emailed to eoin@friendsoflondiani.com.

An email or letter has been sent to every FOL volunteer asking them to choose their favourite photo from Kenya. It can be from any project or may have appeared in calendars/powerpoint or may have never-been-seen before! Each person's name will appear next to their chosen photo with a brief explanation as to why they have chosen it.

This will be a great Christmas gift to give or receive and a very special memoir for FOL's 10th year of community partnerships.

Eva O Mahony & Eoin Gannon are putting this photobook together. Email your favourite photo now to eoin@friendsoflondiani.com or post to the FOL office.
